Before using the Tire Mobility Kit on your Kia EV6, carefully read all instructions and safety information contained in this section to ensure proper operation and maximum effectiveness.
NOTE
If two or more tires are damaged or flat, do not use the Tire Mobility Kit. The sealant bottle supplied with the Kia EV6 contains enough sealing compound to repair only one tire.
WARNING
Tire Sidewall Damage
Never use the Tire Mobility Kit to repair punctures, cuts, tears, or other damage located on the tire sidewall. Sidewall damage cannot be sealed reliably and may result in sudden tire failure, loss of control, or an accident involving the Kia EV6.
WARNING
Professional Tire Repair Required
Even after successfully using the Tire Mobility Kit, have the damaged tire professionally repaired or replaced as soon as possible. A tire repaired with sealant may gradually lose air pressure over time.
WARNING
Driving Speed After Temporary Repair
Do not exceed 50 mph (80 km/h) when operating the Kia EV6 with a tire that has been temporarily repaired using the Tire Mobility Kit.
If you notice unusual vibration, excessive noise, instability, steering pull, or abnormal ride quality while driving, reduce speed immediately and carefully move the Kia EV6 to a safe location for inspection.
Introduction
The Tire Mobility Kit helps keep your Kia EV6 mobile after experiencing certain types of tire punctures and may eliminate the need for immediate roadside tire replacement.
The integrated compressor and sealant system is designed to temporarily seal most tread-area punctures caused by nails, screws, or similar road hazards while simultaneously restoring tire pressure.
After confirming that the puncture has been sealed successfully, the Kia EV6 may be driven cautiously at a maximum speed of 50 mph (80 km/h) to reach a tire service facility or authorized Kia dealer where permanent tire repairs can be performed.
Some tire damage cannot be repaired using the Tire Mobility Kit, particularly larger punctures, structural damage, or sidewall injuries.
Any loss of air pressure can negatively affect handling, braking performance, ride comfort, efficiency, and overall safety of the Kia EV6.
For this reason, avoid sudden steering corrections, rapid acceleration, abrupt braking, or aggressive driving maneuvers after a temporary tire repair has been performed.
Additional caution is especially important when the Kia EV6 is heavily loaded with passengers or cargo, or when towing equipment is installed.
The Tire Mobility Kit is designed solely as a temporary emergency solution and is intended for use on one damaged tire only.
This section provides step-by-step instructions for temporarily sealing a punctured tire and restoring mobility to the Kia EV6.
Before beginning the repair procedure, read the section titled Notes on the Safe Use of the Tire Mobility Kit completely.
Notes on the Safe Use of the Tire Mobility Kit
Park the Kia EV6 safely away from moving traffic before using the Tire Mobility Kit.
Always engage the parking brake to prevent unintended vehicle movement, even when parked on relatively level ground.
The Tire Mobility Kit is intended exclusively for passenger-car tire sealing and inflation. Only punctures located within the tread area of the tire may be repairable.
Do not use the Tire Mobility Kit on motorcycles, bicycles, trailers, recreational equipment, or other non-approved tire types.
If the tire or wheel has sustained visible structural damage, do not attempt to use the Tire Mobility Kit on the Kia EV6.
The Tire Mobility Kit may not effectively seal punctures larger than approximately 0.16 inches (4 mm) in diameter.
If the tire cannot be made roadworthy, contact the nearest authorized Kia dealership or roadside assistance provider.
Do not use the Tire Mobility Kit if the tire has been driven extensively while flat or with extremely low air pressure.
Do not remove nails, screws, or other foreign objects embedded in the tire before applying sealant.
When operating outdoors, leave the Kia EV6 in the POWER ON position (DRIVE READY indicator ON) while using the compressor. This helps prevent discharge of the 12-volt battery.
Never leave the Tire Mobility Kit unattended while it is operating.
Do not run the compressor continuously for more than 10 minutes, as overheating may occur.
Do not use the Tire Mobility Kit when ambient temperatures are below -22°F (-30°C).
For best results, perform the repair procedure immediately after discovering the tire puncture.
NOTE
When repairing a tire on the Kia EV6 using the Tire Mobility Kit, promptly remove any sealant residue from the tire pressure sensor and wheel assembly. During reinstallation, tighten wheel nuts to the specified torque of 79-94 lbf·ft (11-13 kgf·m).
WARNING
Sealant Safety
Keep sealant out of the reach of children.
Avoid direct contact with eyes.
Do not swallow the sealant.
WARNING
Never use tire sealant after the expiration date shown on the container. Expired sealant may not function properly and could increase the risk of tire failure while operating the Kia EV6.
WARNING
If sealant contacts your skin, wash the affected area thoroughly using large amounts of clean water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
If sealant enters your eyes, rinse continuously for at least 15 minutes while holding the eyelids open. Seek immediate medical attention if irritation continues.
If sealant is swallowed, rinse the mouth thoroughly and drink a large quantity of water. Never give liquids to an unconscious person. Seek immediate medical assistance.
Prolonged exposure to tire sealant may cause irritation or damage to bodily tissues.

Follow the procedure below carefully to ensure a safe and effective temporary tire repair on your Kia EV6.
Shake the sealant bottle thoroughly to ensure the sealing compound is properly mixed before use.
|
Remove the cap from the sealant bottle and the cap from the sealant bottle holder, then securely screw the bottle into the designated holder.
|
Remove the valve cap from the damaged tire and securely attach the filling hose from the sealant bottle to the tire valve.
|
NOTE
If a nail, screw, or another object is visibly embedded in the tire tread, do not remove it before using the Tire Mobility Kit.
NOTE
If the tire valve and sealant hose are not fully connected, sealant may leak out and potentially block the valve opening.
Verify that the compressor valve located on the filling hose is locked securely before proceeding.
|
Confirm that the compressor is switched off and set to position 0 before connecting power.
Connect the compressor to the Kia EV6 power outlet using the supplied electrical cable and connectors.
|
With the EV button in the POWER ON position, switch on the compressor and allow it to operate for approximately 5-7 minutes. The sealant will be injected into the tire while inflation pressure increases toward the recommended cold-tire specification for the Kia EV6.
Monitor the tire carefully during inflation and avoid standing directly beside the tire while pressure is increasing.
WARNING
Tire Pressure
Do not drive the Kia EV6 if tire pressure remains below 26 psi (180 kPa). Driving on an underinflated tire could result in sudden tire failure, loss of control, or an accident.
Switch off the compressor after the sealant injection and inflation process has been completed.
Disconnect the hoses from both the sealant bottle and the tire valve carefully.
Store the Tire Mobility Kit back in its designated storage compartment inside the Kia EV6.
After the sealant has been injected into the tire, the Kia EV6 must be driven so that the sealing compound can spread evenly throughout the inside of the tire.
|
Immediately drive the Kia EV6 for approximately 4-6 miles (7-10 km), or about 10 minutes, to distribute the sealant evenly throughout the tire interior.
Do not exceed 50 mph (80 km/h) during this procedure. Whenever possible, maintain a speed above 12 mph (20 km/h) to ensure proper sealant distribution.
If unusual vibration, steering pull, excessive noise, or abnormal ride characteristics occur while driving, reduce speed immediately and carefully stop the Kia EV6 in a safe location for inspection.
NOTE
When the Tire Mobility Kit is used, sealant residue may contaminate the tire pressure sensor and wheel assembly. Remove any sealant contamination and have the Kia EV6 inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
After driving to distribute the sealant, check the tire pressure to confirm that the repair has been successful and the tire remains properly inflated.
After driving approximately 4-6 miles (7-10 km), stop the Kia EV6 in a safe location away from traffic.
Connect the compressor filling hose directly to the tire valve and prepare the compressor for pressure verification.
|
Reconnect the compressor to the Kia EV6 power outlet using the supplied cable and connectors.
Adjust tire pressure to the recommended cold-tire specification shown on the vehicle placard or tire-pressure label located on the driver's side center pillar.
To increase pressure, switch the compressor on (position I). To obtain an accurate pressure reading, briefly switch the compressor off and check the gauge.
NOTE
The pressure gauge may display a higher reading while the compressor is running. For an accurate measurement, switch the compressor off before reading the gauge.
CAUTION
Do not operate the compressor continuously for more than 10 minutes. Excessive operating time may cause overheating and permanent compressor damage.
To reduce pressure, press the pressure-release valve located on the compressor.
CAUTION
