The hazard warning lights are intended to warn approaching drivers to use extreme caution when approaching, overtaking, or passing a disabled Kia EV6.
Gradually reduce speed while maintaining a straight and controlled driving path.
Carefully move the Kia EV6 away from traffic and into a safe location whenever possible.
Switch the hazard warning lights ON immediately.
Attempt to restart the Kia EV6. If the vehicle does not restart, contact an authorized Kia dealer, roadside assistance provider, or another qualified service organization.
Remove your foot from the accelerator pedal and allow the Kia EV6 to slow down naturally while maintaining a straight course.
WARNING
Do not immediately apply the brakes or attempt an abrupt lane change. Sudden steering or braking inputs could result in loss of vehicle control.
Use the left-side paddle shifter to increase regenerative braking and help reduce vehicle speed in a controlled manner.
WARNING
Do not attempt to leave the roadway suddenly. Abrupt maneuvers may cause the Kia EV6 to become unstable and increase the risk of an accident.
Once vehicle speed has been reduced to a safe level, apply the brakes carefully and guide the Kia EV6 toward a secure stopping area.
Move as far away from traffic as possible and park the Kia EV6 on firm, level ground whenever conditions allow.
WARNING
If driving on a divided highway, never stop the Kia EV6 in the center median area between traffic lanes.
After stopping, activate the hazard warning lights, shift into P (Park), apply the parking brake, and place the EV button in the OFF position.
Ask all passengers to exit the Kia EV6 carefully from the side facing away from moving traffic.
Follow the additional tire-related emergency procedures described later in the Kia EV6 owner's manual.

A 2WD Kia EV6 may be towed without dollies only if the wheels not connected to the drive system remain on the ground. Release the parking brake before switching the vehicle OFF. If towing the Kia EV6 using only two wheels, always lift the driven wheels completely off the ground. CAUTION If any loaded wheel, tire, or suspension component is damaged, or if the Kia EV6 must be towed with the driven wheels contacting the road surface, install towing dollies beneath the driven wheels. When towing a trailer with the Kia EV6, always maintain at least twice the normal following distance compared to driving without a trailer attached. The added trailer weight increases stopping distance and reduces braking responsiveness, especially during wet weather, downhill driving, or emergency braking situations. Maintaining additional space between the Kia EV6 and the vehicle ahead helps reduce the likelihood of sudden braking, abrupt steering corrections, or emergency maneuvers that could destabilize the trailer.
