Kia EV6 2022-2026 Owner's Manual: Air bag inflation conditions
Front air bags Front airbags in the Kia EV6 deploy primarily during frontal collisions when the SRS sensors determine that the severity of the impact exceeds the deployment threshold. Multiple factors are analyzed, including crash force, impact direction, and vehicle deceleration. If surface rust develops on the brake discs or brake squeal becomes noticeable, the Kia EV6 includes a BDC (Brake Disc Cleaning) function designed to help reduce noise and remove rust buildup from the brake components. While the BDC function is active, regenerative braking is temporarily disabled and overall energy efficiency may decrease slightly.
